Improved efficiency is critical to sustainable development and corporate sustainability.
Environmental innovations are showcased and best practices shared in HSBC offices worldwide through the Global Environmental Efficiency Programme. The Programme supports regional offices on achieving the company’s overall environmental reduction targets, and will be reviewed every year to assess the results of trials and pilots as well as the suitability of newly available technologies against the corporate sustainability and business strategies.
The Programme uses four key areas/tools to motivate and effect change, including benchmarking, footprint management and innovation, behavioral change, and environmental management systems.
